Notice of Intent (NOI) to Comply List and No Exposure List
Introduction
The Maine Department of Environmental Protection has made available lists of (1) current facilities that each hold a Notice of Intent to comply, and (2) current facilities that each have No Exposure Certification in regards to the Multi-Sector General Permit for Stormwater Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity (MSGP). The lists are organized by city then by the legal name of the owner or operator of the facility who holds responsibility for the stormwater discharge. The lists also include the name of the Industrial Stormwater inspector assigned to that facility. If there are questions concerning a facility or the information noted in the list, please contact the inspector assigned to the facility.
- Notice of Intent (NOI): A one page form completed by the industrial facility seeking coverage under the Maine Multi-Sector General Permit for Stormwater Discharge Associated with Industrial Activity. The facility does have exposure of industrial activities to stormwater, but is required to develop a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan to reduce or eliminate that exposure. The facility is required to comply with all requirements of the MSGP.
- No Exposure Certification: A signed certification form stating that the industrial activities conducted by, or at, that facility are protected by a storm resistant shelter to prevent exposure to rain, snow, snowmelt and/or runoff. The form must be submitted to the Department.

- Owner/Operator Name: This is the legal name of the facility or person who holds responsibility for the industrial stormwater discharge associated with the Multi Sector General Permit.
- Permit ID: This is the identification number given to the facility or person to track their compliance with the Multi Sector General Permit.
- Address, City information: The address listed is the site address of the location where the stormwater discharge covered by the MSGP occurs.
