The Department is currently re-evaluating stormwater discharges from public works garages to determine if these facilities have the potential to contribute pollutants to Waters of the State.  Facilities contributing pollutants to Waters of the State will be designated by the Department to file for permit coverage and develop a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) pursuant to Maine 's Multi-sector General Permit.
