Part 2 -- Updating Maine's Stormwater Management Program

Drafts. This page includes preliminary draft revisions to Chapter 500. The draft has not been posted for formal public comment, and will not be posted for formal public comment until well into 2004.

A draft of Chapter 502 will be included when available.

  • Changes since first 3/3 text draft:

1) language was inadvertently missing from Section 4(B), Resource Protection Standards, that included projects resulting in 20,000 square feet of impervious area in the watershed of a lake most at risk. This has been added as 4(B)(1)(d); the former (d) is now (e).

2) language was added to Section 4(B) to make clear that the Phosphorus standards could be used as an alternative to the resource protection standards in lake watersheds. (similar language was already in section 4(C))

3) Language from 4(C) referenced just above was relocated to just under thresholds to emphasize option to use resource protection standards instead in certain circumstances.

4) In section 5(C), "methods" was changed to "stormwater treatment measures" to be consistent with other sections.

5) other minor formatting changes.
