On May 8, Vaughn Martin of Easton Elementary School wrote: "Snow has been gone for about 1 week."

On May 7, Mary Stuart of Margaret Chase Smith School in Skowhegan wrote: "The dandelions were blossoming in a crack between the school building wall and the tar. The ones on the lawn had not emerged," as clarification of their early April 9th observation of dandelions.

On May 6, Sarah Winne of Conners/Emerson School in Bar Harbor wrote: "Spring is finally here! The weather is usually quite nice these days. People are going to the smaller islands."
