Trailing Arbutus (Epigaea repens)
Heath Family (Ericaceae)

(Also known as Mayflower)

Habitat:

This perennial plant grows in dry, rocky habitats. It creeps along the ground, growing to only a couple of inches in height.

Leaves:

Alternately arranged, evergreen, and heart-shaped with a rounded tip. Leaves have smooth edges and a leathery texture.

Flowers:

Small, white to light pink, with five petals.

Helpful Tips:
