Habitat: |
This shrub grows in wet soils and along the forest's edge. It can grow to be as tall as 20 feet. |
Leaves: |
Alternately arranged, green on top and whitish underneath, with serrated margins. |
Flowers: |
Yellow or green catkins opening from silvery buds. Note: Pussy willows have male and female catkins on separate plants, as shown in the photos at right. |
Helpful Tips: |
