Habitat: |
This perennial is usually found growing in gardens or along roadsides. |
Leaves: |
Basal, 1-3 feet long, narrow and grass-like. |
Flowers: |
Orange, large and showy, with 6 sepals. Each flower lasts for one day, hence the name "Day-lily." |
Fruit: |
A brown capsule that cracks open, exposing the seeds. |
Helpful Tips: |
