Greenhouse gas emissions contribute to global warming.Greenhouse Gas Calculation Tools

This site contains downloadable spreadsheets and links to other approved calculation tool sites to assist with calculations for greenhouse gas emissions.  Some companies may need to apply more than one calculation tool to cover their greenhouse gas sources, and facilities should choose all appropriate tools.  All calculation tools are Microsoft Excel Workbooks unless otherwise noted.

Maine DEP - Greenhouse Gas Worksheet

This Excel spreadsheet is designed for all types facilities.  It contains a combustion worksheet, revised DEP-recommended emission factors, and a sheet to help calculate emissions of refrigerants. This spreadsheet replaces the Small Combustion Worksheet and the Expanded Combustion Worksheet.

WebFIRE
http://cfpub.epa.gov/oarweb/index.cfm?action=fire.main

The Factor Information Retrieval (FIRE) Data System is a database containing more than 17,000 AP-42-rated factors, as well as approximately 4,400 unrated emissions factors that EPA recommends for use. U.S. EPA has converted the existing database program (version 6.25) to a web-based application (WebFIRE) to allow easier public access and for FIRE to be updated more frequently.  You can search for available emission factors by SCC or by simple phrase.
