Governor's Award for Business Excellence
Nominations for the 2013 Governor's Award for Business Excellence are now closed. We received a total of 33 nominations from a variety of businesses across the state this year and are in the process of reviewing them. Winners will be notified in the spring with an award ceremony tentatively scheduled for May.
Thank you to the businesses, community leaders and employees for making these nominations possible.
Business excellence is epitomized by a balanced combination of manufacturing and service excellence, and a steadfast commitment to employees, customers and the community. The Governor's Award for Business Excellence was created in 1991 and is presented to for-profit companies that demonstrate a consistently high level of attentiveness and dedication in these areas.
Since its inception, 117 businesses have received the award.
