MEDIA ADVISORY: Governor LePage Account Executive to Participate in Lenders Roundtable - Friday, December 6

AUGUSTA – Under the leadership of Governor LePage, Maine’s economy is improving and finally headed in the right direction. Unemployment is down, businesses are expanding, and new private sector jobs are being created.

This Friday in Bangor, Governor LePage Account Executive Jaimie Logan will participate in an economic development roundtable geared towards updating Maine lenders of this economic turnaround.

The forum will focus on the state of economic development in Maine and the critical role our private sector financial institutions play in furthering new investment and job growth.

As one of Governor LePage’s business account executives serving businesses in Knox, Penobscot, Waldo, and Lincoln Counties, Logan will discuss the current business environment and what the LePage Administration, through the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD), is doing to help business expand and relocate in Maine.

“We need to continue our aggressive approach to growing our economy,” said Governor Paul R. LePage. “I will continue to push policies that make Maine as competitive as possible for attracting new private investment and jobs. We need to make sure our job creators have all the resources they need to continue on this path to greater prosperity.”

Media are encouraged to attend the event.
