Governor Congratulates Auburn Manufacturing on New Expansion in Auburn

AUGUSTA – A $1.4 million expansion at Auburn Manufacturing is complete, which more than doubles the size of the company’s existing operation. The expansion allows the business to not only meet current demand, but also better manage future growth.

“Here we have a Maine business that continues to grow and expand its product line,” said Governor Paul R. LePage. “This new investment will lead to new jobs and more revenue. In celebrating this success, we must also keep fighting to make Maine as competitive as possible by making sure government always partners with the private sector to facilitate the best economic climate for future prosperity.”

Auburn Manufacturing is a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of textile products for extreme temperature applications, including welding protection, industrial insulation, gaskets and seals, and safety apparel.

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for December 5, 10:00 a.m. at the company’s Kittyhawk manufacturing facility in Auburn.
