"Each year it is a treat to see what new products our exhibitors have created," says Stefa Normantas, show producer. "NEPTS is a unique venue for many of New England's extraordinary craftspeople and it is always an honor working with them to present their wares to retailers."

The NEPTS Best New Products awards are sponsored by MEMIC and given in two categories, giftware and specialty food. The Best Booth contest is sponsored by the Maine Small Business Development Centers and recognizes exhibitors for both Best Booth and Best New Booth. Winners of both Best Booth and Best New Products receive awards of either cash or credit towards their 2012 booth payment. Awards are generously underwritten by NEPTS sponsors, MEMIC and the Maine Small Business Development Centers.

Each year, the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development's Maine Products Marketing Program (MPMP) offers scholarship opportunities to MPMP members who are first-year exhibitors at the New England Products Trade Show. "Without your generous support, we would have been hard pressed to attend the show," said Andrea Bowen and Barbara Mack of The Maine Mud Ladies, a sponsorship awardee. "The exposure we received there netted us 30 new retail stores and a private label contact. Your organization really helped us relaunch our business."

More than 1500 buyers attended the NEPTS this year. The show floor was sold out with more than 60 new exhibitors from all across New England, which was a 30 percent increase over 2010.

The NEPTS is made possible by several sponsors, including the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development, Maine Small Business Development Center, MEMIC, New England Telecom - NE TeleMedia, Peekaboo Mobile, WPXT-TV & WPME-TV, FairPoint, Maine Department of Agriculture, Atlantic Coast Radio, The Crafts Report, Gourmet News, Franklin Printing, Reid Graphics, the Maine Restaurant Association, Maine Merchants Association, Maine Innkeepers Association, NH Made and the New England Inns & Resorts Association.
