Other Grant Programs

In addition to administration of the CDBG program, OCD undertakes other initiatives resulting from applications to other Federal Funding sources. Currently, the OCD staff is administering:

• $24.6 million in HUD Neighborhood Stabilization funding aimed at stabilizing neighborhoods facing high rates of property foreclosure.
• $1 million in Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund too clean-up contaminated site and foster business redevelopment.
• $3.5 million from the Communities for Maine’s Future Bond program which has awarded funds to 11 communities.
