Maine International Trade Center
The Maine International Trade Center (MITC) is the official international trade and investment office of DECD. MITC is led by the State Director of International Trade, an employee of DECD. MITC is a public-private partnership funded by DECD and supported by the contributions of member companies.
Formed in 1996, the Trade Center provides:
- Technical assistance and trade counseling;
- Import and export leads;
- International credit reports;
- Workshops and Trade Education Programs;
- International trade missions and trade shows; and,
- Many other useful services to help Maine companies seeking to succeed in international markets.
MITC serves Maine's business community with offices in downtown Portland and in Bangor.
