Growing quality Christmas trees is a complicated business or hobby. Come learn the basics from the experts at the Maine Forest Service and Tuckaway Tree Farm. Topics will include techniques for acquiring quality growing stock, picking a good site, planting trees, fertilizing, controlling pests and diseases, shearing, and marketing. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required. The workshop will include a 2 hour field session at Tuckaway Tree Farm in Lebanon, http://www.tuckawaytreefarmmaine.com/ Please come dressed for the weather. Lunch will not be provided.
