Maine Charter School Commission Meeting - April 3, 2012

Minutes

The State Charter School Commission held meeting on April 3, 2012, at the Cross State Office Building, 111 Sewall Street, Augusta, Maine. The following members were present: James Banks, Sr.; Richard (Dick) Barnes; Lynda Doyle; Donald Mordecai; Shelley Reed; and William Shuttleworth.

 

Excused: Lynda Doyle; Jana Lapoint

 

CALLED TO ORDER:

Chair, James A. Banks, Sr., called the meeting to order at 2:39 PM.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

MOVED by Shelley Reed, seconded by Donald Mordecai, and unanimously voted by those present to approve the March 6, 2012 minutes as written.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. MOVED by Dick Barnes, seconded by William Shuttleworth to accept April 10, 2012, from 9:00 - 10:30 AM, as the public heraring on the proposed rule - 90-668, Chapter 2 - Procedures for Commission Authorization of Public Charter Schools, and unanimously voted by those present to accept date/time as proposed.
   1. Observers - Jim Banks, Lynda Doyle, William Shuttleworth 
2. Shelley Reed and Dick Barnes will work to draft a Contract
3. Dick Barnes will research methods/items for the Performance Framework
