The Maine State Prison Ceremonial Honor Guard sponsored a toy drive in conjunction with the US Marine Corps Reserve. Staff at both the Maine State Prison and the Bolduc Correctional Facility donated dozens of new toys to be distributed to needy children by the Marine Corps for Christmas.

The Toys for Tots program was developed by the United States Marine Corps to help needy children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas and to unite members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign.
