MAINE MODEL CABLE TV FRANCHISE AGREEMENT

• Public Law, Chapter 548, 123rd Legislature, added a new subsection to M.R.S.A. 30-A, 3008; subsection 7, Model franchise agreement. The new subsection directs the Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Office of Information Technology (OIT), to “develop a model franchise agreement for use by any municipality and any cable system operator that mutually choose to adopt the model franchise agreement or any of its provisions.”
