Course Overview:
This instructor-led course continues to build on the skills learned in the Microsoft Project 2002/2003 Introduction course and helps students advance their skills using Microsoft Project to plan and track project files. The course focuses on: creating custom tables, view, and reports; using custom fields to perform calculations; using Autofilters and creating custom filters and groups; working with earned value and exporting earned value information to Excel; importing and exporting data; working with master projects; working with resource pools; and using the compare projects utility.
Prerequisites:
Completion of the Microsoft Project 2002/2003 Introduction course including mastery of: effort-driven and non-effort driven scheduling; assigning resources; task types and their effect upon project schedules; critical path; resolving resource overallocation; baselining and tracking.
