 A.  RESEARCH THE PROMISING PROGRAM APPROACHES THAT ADDRESS RISK FACTORS AND BUILD PROTECTIVE FACTORES

B.   CREATE A LONG-RANGE STRATEGIC PLAN FOR PROGRAM IMPLEMENTATION:

  • Identify priorities: decide where the focus will be
  • Develop goals, objectives, strategies
  • Identify specific outcomes and benchmarks

C. DESIGN SERVICE AND DELIVERY MODELS:

  • Identify available resources: people and money
  • Identify staffing needs
  • Develop ability to commit/allocate resources
  • Access needed technical assistance
  • Recruit, train, maintain members
