CSAP's Northeast CAPT

Northeast CAPT serves the six New England states and five mid-Atlantic states.  They share knowledge about strengthening local capacity to prevent and reduce alcohol and other drug use in youth ages 12-17.

Foundation Center

The Foundation Center's mission is to support and improve institutional philanthropy by promoting public understanding of the field and helping grantseekers succeed.

They collect, organize, and communicate information on U.S. philanthropy which includes research on trends in the field.  They also provide education and training on the grantseeking process

Maine Philanthropy Center

The Philantropy Center publishes the Directory of Maine Grantmakers.  The Cener can help you in several ways.  They hold the Foundation Center's (see above) core databes on grant makers nationwide in both text and on a CD-ROM titled "FC-Search".  Philantrhopy Center staff train nonprofits on the use of the database, which enables you to search for potential funding partners. 

The Center is located at the USM Glickman Library in Portland, but also have affiliates located in Camden, Machias, Houlton, Bangor, Auburn, and Farmington.

National Youth Development Information Center

The National Youth Development Information Center (NYDIC), is a project of the National Assembly through its affinity group, the National Collaboration for Youth. NYDIC provides practice-related information about youth development to national and local youth-serving organizations at low cost or no cost.

The funding page has a new searchable database of funding opportunities and resources, basic facts on funding a youth development program, an overview of federally-supported youth programs, links to other funding sources, and more!
