How Do I....Report Self-Employment and Quarterly Income Taxes?

If you will owe more than $1,000 in federal income taxes for the year, you will likely have to pay estimated income taxes to the IRS and to Maine Revenue Services. If you will not owe more than $1,000 in federal taxes, you may file annually based on your tax year. Business Answers can provide you with state and federal forms and information to help you determine whether you will have to estimate taxes. The free packet can be ordered in the Request Materials portion of this site and also includes information on social security and Medicare self-employment requirements.
