How Do I....Find Out What Labor Posters I Need in the Workplace and Get Them?
If you are an employer in Maine, federal and state laws require the posting of information that relates to workplace safety, labor standards and employee rights. In general, there are 12 (five federal and seven state) labor posters that are required to be posted in a place your employees have regular access to. Business Answers provides 11 of the required 12 posters in our free Labor Posters package. The package also provides instructions on how to obtain the 12th poster. Although those are generally the required posters, specific industries may require additional postings. To find out if you are required to post more than the standard package of posters, consult with the Maine Department of Labor Standards (for state requirements) and the U.S. Department of Labor (for federal requirements).
