Risk Management Division
The Maine Driving Dynamics course is a 5 ½ hour defensive driving/driver improvement program developed by the Bureau of Highway Safety and offered by Risk Management Division to employees of State Government, the Maine Community Colleges, Maine Maritime Academy and other quasi-State entities that participate in our program of insurance. It offers drivers the opportunity to improve their defensive driving abilities. This course will include discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine's highways. Risk Management has certified Maine Driving Dynamics instructors to present the course. Those completing the course will receive a three-point credit on their driving record. The course is free.
