Workshop description

This is a “hands-on” workshop that will enable you to try out some tools and protocols to (a) make decisions about responding to requests for proposals, (b) design your response based on a framework that logically links the elements of your proposal, and (c) write a brief proposal or letter of intent based on a project of your choice.

You will leave the session being able to:

Use a checklist to make the decision to respond to a request for proposal

Organize and coordinate the preparation of a proposal

Plan a proposal with the assistance of a logic model

Write a proposal that includes all the essential elements

Develop a budget narrative

Create a project evaluation plan as part of the proposal

Recognize the importance of sustainability

Identify assorted pitfalls
