The State of Maine plans to implement an enterprise-wide Records Management Application (RMA) to make controlling and managing the ever-increasing volume of e-mails and other digital records easier for everyone. In the meantime, training is being offered to help employees make better decisions about these important records. This briefing will remind you of things you may already know, as a Records Officer. It should help you answer questions that will result from the basic e-mail training being deployed for all State employees, which you have already had a chance to test drive.
Objectives:
- To be able to answer commonly asked "record vs. nonrecord" questions asked by other employees within the Records Officer's or Assistant Records Officer's own department, bureau, or division;
- To know where and how to get answers for other questions on records management matters.
