Description:The rules for work are changing and the pressure is on! Being effective at work is now based on more than your specific technical skills; it’s how you handle your frustrations and critical issues, personality conflicts, communication breakdowns, and change.
Are you “hooked” by other’s anger or negative reactions? Or do your own emotions or anger get in the way of your being effective at work?
Topics:
- The factors that contribute to anger and other negative emotions in the workplace and guidelines for handling them;
- The signs & symptoms of anger;
- The difference between healthy anger and destructive anger;
- The common anger syndromes that affect many workplaces;
- Techniques for handling yourself when faced with an angry or emotional person.
- A six-step process to help you manage your own anger or other inappropriate emotions; and
- Specific techniques for dealing with staff, colleagues and bosses.
