Swede Midge (Contarinia nasturtii) Confirmed in Connecticut

Swede idge larvaeOn July 27, 2006, during a routine Cooperative Agricultural Pest Survey (CAPS), Swede midge was observed on cole crops (Brassica spp.) in New Haven, CT. The find was confirmed by Cornell University's New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva, NY.
