Greenhouse/Nursery IPM

Greenhouse IPM Workshops - A group of greenhouse growers has teamed up to hone Integrated Pest Management skills in a series of hands-on workshops organized by the Maine Department of Agriculture's Horticulture program.

Nursery Survey - In 2008 we will be conducting a detailed nursery survey looking for exotic pests that can impact landscapes and the surrounding forests. From June to August we will be monitoring 10 to 15 nurseries for pests such as Asian longhorned beetle, hemlock woolly adelgid, emerald ash borer, light brown apple moth, summer fruit tortrix, Asian gypsy moth and pink gypsy moth.
