CLE offerings for attorneys“THE SUPREMES + ETHICS”Highlights of the U. S. Supreme Court, First Circuit/D. Me.,the Maine Law Court, and Recent Ethics Decisions

Program SynopsisThe Maine Office of the Attorney General CLE presentation titled “the Supremes + Ethics” will be worth 5.0 CLE credits. In a new format this year, the morning will feature cases of the Supreme Court, First Circuit & the District of Maine. The afternoon will feature cases of the Maine Law Court, and ethics. Registration ProcedureAttendance to this program is limited. In accordance with our office’s policy, employees of the Office of the Attorney General and government attorneys wishing to attend have first priority for attendance upon their payment of the annual $10 CLE registration fee. Checks should be made payable to “Treasurer, State of Maine” Please write “Annual AG CLE Registration Fee” in the memo field. Any employees of the Office of the Attorney General and government attorneys wishing to attend should e-mail their name, name of employer, and bar number, to Arlene Hines Harrison at . Checks should be mailed to Arlene’s attention at the Attorney General’s Office, 6 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333. Registration for this CLE will not be considered complete until the annual registration fee is paid. Registrations will be processed on a “first come first serve basis” with a waiting list for registrations that exceed the attendance limitations of this program. After July 16th, assuming there is still space available, registrations will be opened to nongovernment members of the bar in accordance with our office policy. There will be a $20 fee for nongovernment members of the bar, payable to “Treasurer, State of Maine,” to help defray the costs of materials and the facility. As a result of the limited number of spaces available for this presentation, if you register and later find out that you cannot attend, please immediately notify Arlene Harrison by e-mail so someone else can attend in your place from the waiting list. *Attendance at this presentation is governed by the CLE committee protocols. |
