Policy Initiatives

Maine people live in cities, suburbs and rural places.  We make our livings on farms, in the woods, and at the sea; as small business people, artists, and craftspeople; in technology, finance, and bio-medicine; as health care providers, educators, and public servants.  This diversity of place and people poses complex policy issues.

I've addressed the needs of all Mainers through policy initiatives that implement my vision to invest in people, build infrastructure, focus on key economic sectors, and create a fair and stable business environment.  These initiatives include access to affordable health care, funding for education, spurring economic growth and innovation, preserving our environment, encouraging energy independence and security, and handling state finances responsibly.  Please take a moment to learn more about our initiative areas.
